Hurricane Irma
Irma was a very powerful category 5 hurricane. It developed on August 30, 2017 and quickly became more and more dangerous reaching its peak intensity on September 6. Because of its enormous size the storm made an impact on many vast areas including the United States, but the most significant damage was done to Florida. The city of Tampa declared a state of emergency, mandatory evacuations for the islands were arranged and tolls on the paid roads were suspended, but some people still remained in danger. Shelters were opened in several counties including Broward, Flagler, Hardee, Manatee, and Palm Beach. Hurricane Irma made landfall in Marco Island, Florida on September 10 as a category 4. Heavy rains and intense winds resulted in flooding. Do you have what it takes to help the residents of Florida by transporting them from dangerous areas into the safety of shelters? In order to successfully navigate your helicopter avoid the wind gusts and keep track of how much fuel you have.
